MKS Wealth Management (MKS) was formed in 2008 by a team of highly experienced practitioners with the goal of providing quality and tailored financial advice to clients.
MKS differs from many other financial planning firms in that it is a privately owned practice. From a client’s perspective, this means that we are uninhibited in structuring and tailoring an investment solution that specifically suits our clients needs, without being restricted to investments or investment platforms provided by an associated entity (such as a financial institution or life company).
MKS also recognises that individuals deserve a personalised, strategically focussed service rather than simply being sold in house products or an aligned investment platform under the guise of financial advice.
The company operates under its own Australian Financial Services Licence and is a registered tax agent. As such, not only is the advice free from bias but the services offered may be fully or partially tax deductible.

Allan Meates
Allan Meates is a Director of MKS and has over 20 years experience in the banking and finance industry and has a further 21 years in providing strategic advice on investments, superannuation, retirement and estate planning. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
David Kollmorgen
David Kollmorgen is a Director of MKS and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Financial Planning Specialist). David is also a CFP and is a member of the FPA. David has over 13 years experience in the provision of wealth creation strategies and investment advice to individuals, corporations and superannuation funds.
Matthew Smith
Matthew Smith holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Graduate Diplomas in Applied Investment and Finance and Financial Planning. Matthew has been involved in the financial services sector since 2002 and has specialist skills in investment portfolio construction, investment research and compliance.
Jo Parker
Jo Parker joined MKS Wealth Management in May 2016 and has specialist skills in accounting for Self Managed Superannuation Funds. Jo has been involved in the financial services sector since 2001.
Cathy Stewart
Cathy Stewart has been involved with administration in the financial services industry since 2004. At MKS Wealth Management, Cathy is responsible for maintaining our client database and general record management.
